With parental controls on, Settings, Quit and Reset App are password-protected. Without a recovery code you often can’t get in — use this order:
- 1.On the password dialog, tap “Forgot password?” and enter your recovery code.
- 2.If you set them up: answer the security questions.
- 3.
Your Mac account password only helps inside Settings under Parental Controls → “Forgot password…”, not on the gate before Settings.
Normal reset: General → Reset App (requires access to Settings).
